Teaching opportunity at Chelmsford College Construction Department

Are you looking for a change in career? Ever considered being a teacher?  Always wanted to pass on your knowledge and experience to young people starting out on their careers?

An excellent opportunity for an inspiring, ambitious, enthusiastic person has arisen to join our experienced teaching team within Technical Construction, part of the Construction Department.

With an enhanced support package from the Education and Training Foundation we are able to offer the right candidate the opportunity to make the transition from industry into teaching with additional help, support and mentoring including:-

18 hours a week support/work shadowing initially

Reduced work load for the first 12 months

Initial teacher training (Level 5 or above) paid

Applicants should be occupationally competent in an aspect of Technical Construction (either Civils or Construction) with a minimum of three years working in the industry. You will need to be qualified to HNC or degree level in a relevant area.  In addition you will need Maths and English qualifications to a Functional Skiils level 2 or GCSE C/4 grade.

Full time or part time (.5 or more)

Salary – up to £36,158 per annum (pro rata if part time)
