The 2015 Wales Green Energy Awards finalists have been announced and Baker Consultants has been nominated alongside Newcastle University for a Contribution to Skills & Training award.

Awards to celebrate construction excellence

Awards which celebrate innovation in the construction and built environment sector have been launched in Yorkshire and Humber.

The 2015 Constructing Excellence Yorkshire & Humber (CEYH) awards, organised by the Centre for Knowledge Exchange at Leeds Beckett University, showcase the most innovative organisations, developments& initiatives in construction and the built environment over the past 12 months.

NFRC's roofing pavilion returns to Ecobuild

The National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) will be returning to Ecobuild from 3rd – 5th March to host the Roofing Pavilion for the second year running.

Following the success of last year, the Pavilion has increased in size and will feature more of its Supplier Members (Manufacturers, Merchants and Service Providers). It will be supported by 22 companies surrounding an NFRC networking lounge.

Boningale support the Princess Royal on NHS sustainability day

In support of this year’s NHS Sustainability Day, Albrighton-based Boningale Nurseries donated two trees to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.

Scotland’s construction industry looking brighter than ever

As we come into the new year, Scotland’s economy is showing continued signs of growth, and as a result, so is its construction industry. From July 2013 to July 2014, Scotland held 11% of the value of contracts awarded in Great Britain, making it the third highest in the country after London and the South West of England. The value of Scottish contracts accumulated to a staggering £6.8 billion, highlighting the future prospects within the industry.
