Peacock Engineering awarded major schools contract

Peacock Engineering has won a contract with Carillion to provide an asset management solution for their Irish schools Bundle 5 PPP contract.

As part of the 27 year concession, Carillion will deliver the support services to five schools and an institute of further education across Meath, Carlow, Wicklow and Wexford.  To help them to effectively manage the assets during this period, they will be using an IBM Maximo system provided by Peacock Engineering.

“Maximo was an obvious choice,” said Mike Knapp, Director at Peacock Engineering.  “The new BIM Compliance requirements, included within the National Treasury Management Agency contract meant Carillion needed to be able to effectively integrate the building information model with the ongoing asset management regime.

“Maximo has a specific BIM module designed to handle exactly this.  As we had already worked with Carillion on their Maximo system, it was clear this provided the best solution.”

“We are delighted to be working with Peacock Engineering,” said John Morgan, Regional Director, Ireland. “The Bundle 5 PPP contract allows us to lead the way using BIM as an integral part of the delivering the services, and our Maximo solution is key to this.”
