Further success in the east for Mick George Ltd

Only last month it was revealed that construction specialist Mick George Ltd had acquired fourteen new sites in the Eastern region of the country, as the business seeks to further strengthen its broad contracting operation.

Having already landed two high-profile demolition contracts in the area, the organisations Earthworks provision appears to be achieving similar traction.

On behalf of MJS Construction (March) Ltd, Mick George Ltd will shortly deliver the associated works on the new Festool Headquarters and Warehouse premises at the new Suffolk Business Park development, situated on the fringes of Moreton Hall Estate, between Skyliner Way and the Rougham Junction of the A14.

Festool, a provider of high-quality power tools for more than 90 years is a subsidiary of Festool, Germany. Currently homed on the outskirts of Bury St. Edmunds at Saxham Business Park, the 50 plus employees will shortly relocate to plot 0100 on the South East edge of the new scheme.

Suffolk Business Park is considered an exciting new gateway development creating an extension to the prime commercial area of Bury St. Edmonds. The park will provide approximately 57 acres of strategic employment land benefitting from major infrastructure improvements to junction 45 of the A14 and the construction of the new Eastern Relief Road.

It has been indicated that as many as 5,350 new homes could be created in the region in the next few years, enticing as many as 10,000 new residents, for which this development could be key.

Michael George, Contracts Director at Mick George Ltd commented: ‘’It is pleasing that we’re already starting to gain traction for our services since the recent investment to expand geographically. We see no reason why this will not continue in the same manner as long as we endeavour to produce the same high-standards as we do elsewhere in the country.’’
