SHP Awards 2020 – deadline extended to Tuesday 3 November

The SHP Awards are an exciting annual opportunity to support and reward the very brightest and best of the UK’s health and safety community – and during the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of celebrating achievement has become more important than ever.

To give you enough time to enter or nominate a potential winner, the deadline has been extended to Tuesday 3 November.

Launched in collaboration with HSE and IATP, the awards are free to enter, with three main categories:

The SHP Trailblazer Award is a new category, designed to reflect the incredible efforts practitioners have gone to forge new paths and make a positive difference, whether in workplace wellbeing, technology, social impact or an organisation’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Put yourself forward or nominate others: the SHP Awards are a fantastic opportunity to promote your talent and establish your personal brand (or someone else’s) as a leader within the health and safety community.

Judging your entry will be some of the leading names from the health and safety profession, including: Faye McGuinness, Head of Workplace Wellbeing Programmes, Mind; Professor Dr Andrew Sharman, Managing Partner, RMS and IOSH President; Neil Pearson, Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing, HSE; and Ian Hart, Editor, SHP among many others.

Winning means you’ll get your name in lights on the SHP website, exposing your victory and showcasing your achievements to over 700,000 annual visitors.

And for those under 30, winning the SHP Rising Star Award is a fantastic way to boost your career and promote yourself to the wider community.

You have until Tuesday 3 November to enter, so get started today.

Finalists and winners will be announced in early December, and winners will receive a trophy and development coaching by Acre Frameworks.
